A new poetry collection by Adam Tie
For the past ten years, I’ve sat across from strangers with a typewriter between us and a conversation unfolding.
More than 30,000 poems later, I’ve come to realise that beneath our different lives, we’re often searching for the same things: love, purpose, healing, belonging, forgiveness, courage, and the hope that tomorrow might be a little kinder.
What Happens After The More Or Less is a collection about the act of living. It brings together my favourite poems from the past decade, new poems written for this book, and ten short stories, one from each year of The Novel Encounter, about the moments that shaped me along the way.
These are poems about falling in love and falling apart. About holding on, letting go, beginning again, finding beauty in ordinary moments, and surviving the ones that feel anything but ordinary.
More than anything, I hope this book reminds you that you’re not alone. That there is still so much life ahead of you. And that you deserve the world and an extra planet.
